They are unfairly saddled with a bad reputation, mostly due to the assumption that they scavenge and "steal" other predator's kills. Hyenas are actually skilled hunters that live in complex social groups. They are intelligent, beautiful animals.Check out the above video of a hyena playing at a lion park in South Africa. Hopefully watching this hyena do somersaults, chase her tail, and cavort in a puddle joyfully will encourage people to see these animals in a new light.
