The Science of Near-Death Experiences

Who says that science takes away the mystery and wonder of our subjective experiences?In Scientific American, Charles Q. Choi discusses research that explains the phenomena people report going through during "near-death experiences." It turns out that those feelings of peace and euphoria, the bright light, the sensation of rising up from your earthly shell - can all be explained biologically.I think discovering the quirks of our brains is fascinating. There is no need to write off unusual experiences as supernatural when the truth is this amazing.
